M&J Wedding

CATEGORIES | ILLUSTRATION, PRINT

When it came to illustrating for my own wedding, it was definitely a no-brainer. I really enjoyed coming up with illustrations and designs that were unique and specific to Matt and I. Every moment of wedding planning was carefully planned out to incorporate the illustrations in a meaningful way. Getting married in 2020 was definitely a wild one, but that just meant I got the opportunity to illustrate for more unexpected events such as the drive-by and wedding reception that happened 6 months later.

Bridal Party Proposals & Invitations

The concept of my bridal party proposal was to create a pull & slide card - I wanted to keep the intent of the card hidden at first but when our friends slid up the card, it would reveal the surprise message inside. With the invitation, I wanted to create a scene that showed what Matt and I enjoy doing together. I also included my favorite pup, Ollie and our wedding venue in the background.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

For my ceremony and reception that happened 6 months apart (because of covid), I designed the programs, seating charts, table numbers, and cake topper.

Signage & Activities

I planned out several activities for our guests during the reception. I also made signs for covid safety, his/hers drinks sign, and a coloring sheet for the kids to do.

Drive By Favors

On our wedding day, we were unable to invite all our guests as we had hoped because of covid. Instead, most of our guests watched our ceremony via livestream and we invited close friends and family to stop by at our drive-by event to say hi and celebrate with us. We wanted to express our love and appreciation to them so we passed out little wedding favors that included some snacks, face masks, and hand sanitizer.
